Ferne Park and Sujan Indian Tigers qualified to the quarter finals of the St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup, following the last league games that were played on Wednesday July 8. The tournament hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, located in Midhurst, West Sussex, England, sees nineteen teams up to 22 goals, compete.
Ferne Park beat Ojo Caliente 15-12; Sujan Indian Tigers claimed a 11-7 win over Jindal Steel La Dolfina por 11-7; and Dubai closed their successful league stage with another victory, this time against Clinova Circulare (14-7).
Seven teams are already in quarters (Dubai, Akasha, Black Bears, Gaston, Sujan Indian Tigers, Ferne Park, La Hechicera), and only one spot remains. The last place in the tournament’s next stage will be decided between three teams – UAE, La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal y Kazak – on Thursday July 11, at 11am.
It’s worth remembering that the quarter finals of the St. Regis British Open Polo for the Cowdray Gold Cup will take place on Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12.
