The St. Regis British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, the highlight of the season in England, continued during the weekend – Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28. The contest, hosted by the historical Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst, West Sussex, sees nineteen teams up to 22 goals, in participation.

 

Three matches were played on Saturday June 27. Kazak and Jindal Steel La Dolfina opened fire, in a hard fought game that was sealed in the last chukka by the former, who claimed a 14-11 win; up next, in another tight game, Dubai beat Ferne Park 10-9. Finally, Shoreline took an impressive 12-6 victory over Clinova.

 

On the following day, Sunday June 28, UAE, who lost to Sujan Indian Tigers in their debut game and with Tomas Willains subbing in for Hugo Taylor, were victorious 10-9, over Park Place, in extra chukka. Last but not least, La Hechicera continue on the winning path, and this time their “victim” were La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal – the final result was a merciless 14-9.
