Following the postponement due to the heatwave that’s sweeping Europe, polo resumed at Cowdray Park Polo Club, set in Midhurst, West Sussex, on a busy Friday June 26, that showcased four games for the St. Regis British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup. The tournament, highlight of the season in England, sees nineteen teams up to 22 goals, in participation.

Sujan Indian Tigers claimed their first win, by beating no less than UAE, by a 12-10 score. Jaisal Singh’s lineup delivered a remarkable performance, in a contest that started with a 3-all in the first chukka, until Jaisal & Co. seized the reins from the second onwards, widening their advantage until they clinched the victory. Up next, Akasha won their second game, this time over Signet Segavas, 14-11. Oddly enough, by the same score of their debut win against White Crane.

Precisely, White Crane lost their second contest to Jehangiri Polo, 10-8. Last but not least, Black Bears dominated the match and the scoreboard and claimed a 14-11 victory over Vallhala.
