As a follow-up to the previous article that gives a look at League A teams who are set to play the upcoming St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup, this one will focus on those within Group B/C, and how these lineups will reach the quarter finals of the tournament, that celebrates no less than 70 years of heritage, elegance and excellence.
It’s worth to note that this group is made of seven teams – three within Group C will play once against those within Group B, in order to complete four matches; in addition, they will have their own matches – Akasha vs. Jehangiri and Valhalla vs. Black Bears, to reach four games played, as well.
- Akasha: The French organisation, formerly known as La Magdeleine, has a lineup that have done very well both in France and England; in the latter, they reached the decisive phases of the Gold Cup. Their first tournament of the 2026 season in England was the Prince of Wales Trophy with no luck – they lost twice, they scored 13 goals and received 15. They improved in the Queen’s Cup, reaching the quarter finals, but were beaten by Dubai. However, they managed to play the Subsidiary final, and defeated Gaston. Their statics in the Queen’s Cup marks a 5-2 record, 76 goals in favour and 85 against. The lineup is made of Alexandre Garese (0), Facundo Fernández Llorente (7), Pablo Mac Donough (9) and Santiago Laborde (6).
- -Black Bears: Guy Schwarzenbach’s (2) Oxfordshire-based team has been playing the Gold Cup as a regular during the latest years. On this occasion, he put a team that seems a tough nut to crack together. They kicked off in the Queen’s Cup, but their 2-2 record left them out of the competition in the league stage wih 46 goals in favour and 47 against. Schwarzenbach is joined by Estanislao Darritchon (3) and the Panelo brothers, Benjamín (8) and Tomás (9) Panelo.
- Valhalla: This English lineup is one of the favourites with the fans; several followers pack the grandsstands to cheer on them during each game. Their best performance was in 2024, when they reached the quarter finals. The team lineup is made of Emma MacRae (0), Paquito de Narváez (8), Alejandro Muzzio (8) and Manuel Elizalde (6).
- Jehangiri: The Pakistan-based organisation has been doing very well in Dubai since 2025, when they reached the two 20-goal finals over there; in addition, they already competed in the Gold Cup. Thier aim is to overcome the league stage. They played the Prince of Wales Trophy, with a 1-1 record, 16 goals in favour and 18 against. They didn’t improve in the Queen’s Cup – a 1-3 record, 40 goals in favour and 40 against. This year, they already played the Trippetts Challenge, that saw them as runner up, losing to Balanz Capital La Hechicera, with a 3-1 record, 30 goals in favour and 37 against. Their performance in the Queen’s Cup was quite irregular – they lost in the quarter finals but they played the Subsidiary final, losing to Akasha. Gaston played seven games, won four and lose three, with 17 goals in favour and 64 against. Jean-Paul will be joined by Cruz Heguy (7), Pelón Stirling (8) and Beltrán Laulhé (7) during the Gold Cup.
