The United States Polo Association has announced the 2019 Annual Outdoor Handicap changes, after a memorable season, that saw Pilot claim the first ever Gauntlet of Polo, following their impressive success at all three tournaments: CV Whitney Cup, USPA Gold Cup and the US Open Polo Championship. Among the most important raises there’s Curtis Pilot’s team number 3 player, Gonzalito Pieres, who is a brand new 10-goaler and Fran Elizalde, runner up of the CV Whitney Cup and MVP of the final of the US Open, who went up from 8 to 9.
With regards to other raises, highlights include Matias Gonzalez (from 3 to 4), Gringo Colombres (7 to 8), Lucas DÃaz Alberdi (from 5 to 6) and Timmy Dutta (from 2 to 3).
Within the ladies, Hazel Jackson equals Nina Clarkin and reached 10-goaler status, the same she has in Argentina. Also, handicap raises went to Mia Cambiaso (6 to 7 effective 6/1; to 8 effective 1/1) and Pamela Flanagan (from 3 to 4), members of Women’s US Open winning team Hawaii Polo Life.
