The second matchdate of the high goal Gold Cup, second leg of the 54th. International Polo Tournament, drew to a close on Thursday August 22, at Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande. The contest sees eight teams up to 22 goals, in participation.
Teams have already played two games each, and there’s still one match left, although it’s not yet sure who will advance to the semifinals. With regards with League A, Dos Lunas is the sole lineup who won their two games; therefore, they have an advantage above the rest – MB Polo and Calatagan, who won one each, and Black Bears were unable to win,
League A will be decided on Saturday August 23, with the following order of play:
6,3opm: Dos Lunas vs Calatagan
6,30pm: MB Polo vs Black Bears
Amanara is undefeated in League B, while Les Lions Sainte Mesme and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal have one victory each. Whizmo lost their two games.
The qualification stage within League B will come to an end on Sunday August 24:
5pm: Les Lions Sainte Mesme vs Whizmo
6,30pm: Amanara vs La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal
The finals of the Gold Cup are due on Friday August 29 (medium goal) and Saturday August 30 (high goal and low goal).
