Beverly Polo (who received two goals on handicap) claimed an 11-5 win over Tamera on Thursday, February 4 to qualify for the final of the 18-goal Ylvisaker Cup at International Polo Club Palm Beach.

The winners, who were able to hold an advantage throughout the match, were led by an impressive Hilario Figueras, the top scorer of the match, who converted seven goals. While Tamera got within a goal by half time, Beverly Polo maintained control, and by the end of the fifth, they had secured a 9-4 lead. Figueras went on to score two more goals in the last to seal the win for Beverly Polo and their place in the final.

They now face Palm Beach Equine on Sunday. It is interesting to note that these teams have already met this season, in the final of the Bobby Barry Cup, where Scott Swerdlin’s foursome claimed the title after securing a 13-11 victory.
