Luego de los últimos partidos de liga, que se realizaron el miércoles 2 de noviembre, en el National Polo Center, en Wellington, Estados Unidos, quedaron conformadas las semifinales del XII FIP World Polo Championship, que tiene la presencia de ocho combinados nacionales de hasta 14 goles de hándicap. Action took place at Valiente Polo Farm, while the semifinals and finals will take place at the National Polo Center. The 2022 edition sees eight countries, in lineups up to 14 goals, in participation: United States (host country), Argentina (current reigning champions), Spain, Pakistan, Italy, Uruguay and Australia.

 

Argentina, who remained undefeated, claimed a 5-3-5 win over Spain, while United States earned a narrow 7-4-7 victory over Uruguay. To complete the matchdae, Italy defeated Australia 8.5-5.

 

The semifinals of the XII FIP World Polo Championship are due on Friday November 3,  at National Polo Center, with the following order of play:

 

2pm: Argentina vs. United States

5pm: Uruguay vs. Spain

ARGENTINA 6-3.5 SPAIN

Argentina: Joaquin Sanchez Herrero 3, Tomás Delfino 3, Tomás Marin Moreno 4, Marcos Panelo 4. Total: 14.

UNITED STATES 7-5-7 URUGUAY

United States: Agustín Arellano 3, Lucas Escobar 4, Nicolás Escobar 5, Jake Klentner 2. Total: 14.

Uruguay: Gastón Magariños 1, Ignacio Viana 5, Santiago Stirling 5, Matias Carrique 5. Total: 15.
