BTA/The Villages became the first ever all-American foursome to win the coveted U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship following the final that took place on Saturday, March 20, at International Polo Club Palm Beach.

In a very hard fought match, BTA/The Villages narrowly beat double champions Hawaii Polo Life by  6 goals to 5. The match was tied several times throughout the match. Hazel Jackson scored for Hawaii Polo Life in the last chukka, but Paige Boone and K.C. Krueger were able to score a goal a piece to secure the title for the American girls.

Kylie Sheehan was named MVP, while Pico, ridden by Mia Cambiaso took BPP honors.

Score BTA/The Villages: 1-1, 3-3, 4-4, 6-5.

The tournament, played at Port Mayaca Polo Club and International Polo Club Palm Beach, saw five teams, up to 22 goals, compete.
