Hawaii Polo Life claimed a narrow 6-5 win over BTA/The Villages to win the 2020 edition of the US Women’s Open on Saturday, February 27, at International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Both teams made significant changes to their respective lineups compared to the set up in 2020. Nina Clarkin made a comeback to the field representing Hawaii Polo Life. This final marked the conclusion of the tournament that was postponed in the semifinal stage due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020.

Throughout the four chukka game, Hawaii Polo Life dominated the play, widening their advantage thanks to Nina Clarkin’s offensive skills. In the last chukka, BTA/The Villages outscored Hawaii Polo Life 4-0, but their efforts fell short. Hawaii Polo Life won the match and retained the title they won in 2019.

The US Women’s Open saw eight teams, up to 22 goals, compete.
