The US Open Polo Championship, apex of the American Polo Season, kicked off on Wednesday at International Polo Club Palm Beach, in Wellington, United States.

With sixteen 22-goal team fighting for the title, this tournament is widely considered to be the most competitive of the year. Playing for the grand title are defending champions Daily Racing Form, and Pilot, recent CV Whitney Cup and USPA Gold Cup winners.

 

On Day one of the tournament, Coca-Cola beat La Indiana by 12 goals to 10. The final is scheduled for Sunday, April 21.
