The Open de France Féminin, the most significant ladies tournament in France, commenced on Tuesday September 15, at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantily located in the outskirts of Paris. The opening day saw Augustinus Bader, La Monarquía and Why Not, victorious. The competition sees seven teams up to 16 goals (ladies handicap), in participation.

Title holders, Augustinus Bader, earned a narrow 5-4 win over Swee; up next, La Monarquía defeated Yves Delorme by a commanding 5-2; and the last match went to Why Not, who had to fight hard to beat Jamjar 6-5, in extra chukka, with a golden goal by Hazel Jackson.

The semifinals of the Open de France Féminin are due on Friday September 28, and the final will take place on Sunday September 20.
