Unfortunately, what was expected to be a great polo celebration, turned out to be a flop, as the Tortugas Open Final was suspended due to the slippery conditions of the field. La Dolfina and Ellerstina only managed to play 4:45 minutes of the first chukker, where the team from Cañuelas scored twice to go 2-0 up. Regardless of who is to blame for the conditions of the field, the truth is that in polo, safety comes first.

The field was tried the day before and determined to be in good conditions to play, but the speed of a match like this is totally different and it is impossible to simulate. Both teams are keen to resume the game – they want to play this final. It is likely to be rescheduled for November 15th, the day before the Argentine Open kicks off, when both La Dolfina and Ellerstina will be free to play.
