Clearwater, La Dolfina and Pilot were victorious in the US Open Polo Championship games, that were played through Tuesday April 9 and Thursday April 11. The US Open, the most significant tournament of the United States, and the highlight of the prestigious Gauntlet of Polo, is underway at the National Polo Center, in Wellington, Florida. Perhaps the most important achievement, was Clearwater’s remarkable win over no less than the current reigning champions, Park Place, by a 13-12 score, on April 9, that also was the first US Open victory for the Campbell’s foursome.

Meanwhile, La Dolfina remained undefeated (3-0), after defeating La Fe by a heavy 13-5, on Wednesday April 10; on the following day, Thursday April 11, Pilot beat Dutta Corp by a narrow 7-6.

Action for the US Open will resume on Saturday April 13.

The final of the US Open Polo Championship is due on Sunday April 21 at the National Polo Center.
