The quarterfinals of the Queen’s Cup have been set following the last league games that took place on Wednesday, June 16. The prestigious tournament is hosted by Guards Polo Club and sees fifteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete.Â
First, Monterosso claimed a 10-6 win over White Crane at Coworth Park, before Thai Polo defeated BP Polo 13-9 at Guards. The results mean that White Crane and UAE II (who claimed a win on Tuesday, June 15) took on Great Oaks Les Lions in a penalty shootout to decide which team qualified for the quarters. UAE II’s Alfredo Cappella and White Crane’s Nico Pieres converted six and five penalties, respectively, to take their teams through to the next stage of the competition. Â
The quarter finals are set for Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20.Â
The final of the Queen’s Cup is scheduled for Sunday, June 27.
