The Queen’s Cup, hosted by Guards Polo Club, resumed on Saturday, June 5, with double action, where Talandracas and UAE emerged victorious. The tournament sees fifteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete.

The day’s opening match, played at Les Lions, was a thrilling match, one of the best of the season so far. Camilo beat Barto in the clash of the Castagnola brothers, as Talandracas’ secured a hard fought OT victory against Great Oaks Les Lions. The golden goal was scored by Guillermo Terrera.

Later in the afternoon, at Guards, UAE dominated Emlor to claim an impressive 14-8 victory. The win gave them the day’s trophy, the Royal Windsor Horse Show Cup. UAE had Cata Lavinia filling in for HH Sheikha Maitha.

 

The final of the Queen’s Cup is scheduled for Sunday, June 27.
