The Queen’s Cup, Guards Polo Club’s premier competition, set in Windsor Great Park, England, continued through Tuesday May 30 and Wednesday May 31. Both Clinova and Cibao La Pampa earned their first wins in the tournament, while Dubai and Murus Sanctus still remain as the two only unbeaten lineups. The prestigious Queen’s Cup sees seventeen teams up to 22 goals, in participation.

 

On Tuesday May 30, Dubai won their third consecutive match, after defeating Marqués de Riscal 10-5. Later in the afternoon, Clinova marked the big surprise of the day, by claiming a 9-8 win over Monterosso. Raja Karim’s Clinova, led by Jerónimo del Carril, were 6-8 behind in the fifth chukka, but bounced back in the last chukka to decide the contest by the minimum gap.

 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday May 31, Cibao La Pampa also obtained their first victory in the Queen’s Cup; they defeated BP Polo 12-8. Last but not least, Murus Sanctus, the second team to remain undefeated up-to-date, beat Vikings 9-8.
