And the weather gods are also smiling on the tournament. The forecast for next weekend is plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures for the Engadin, in the low teens. Sensational top conditions for a visit to the frozen Lake St. Moritz! As always, admission to the polo grounds is free! And in addition to the thrilling polo sport, guests can look forward to an unrivaled range of culinary delights in the Polo Village! The line-up includes mulled wine, traditional bratwurst and nut croissants from the renowned Crystal Hotel, uncomplicated alpine specialties from AlpenFood Catering and various dishes from the Giardino Mountain Hotel. Then there are the iconic dumplings and gyozas from the Swiss start-up Madame Sum, specialties from St Gallen barbecue visionary asado and the Pop-Up on the Ice by R.C Concepts, which will be serving its homemade ravioli and other small gourmet delicacies. DJ Mr. Mike and live musicians Huw Lewis & Band will be providing good vibes all day long!

3,900 tonnes of material on the frozen Lake St. Moritz!

The impressive infrastructure, including the polo field, grandstands and the large polo village, has been under construction on the lake since 13 January 2024. In total, the construction requires a highly experienced team of around 100 specialists! They work around the clock under the leadership of St. Moritz See Infra AG and achieve the almost impossible every year. Building the large tent city, VIP tent, grandstands and supply lines on schedule and completing everything on time before the start of the tournament is no small feat! When preparing the 200 x 100 metre playing field this year, the natural snow was supplemented with machine-made snow so that the most important athletes at the tournament – the polo ponies – could play in absolutely perfect conditions! And the ice formation is also progressing as desired! It is currently at a stable 35cm and continues to grow.
