A new edtion of the British Ladies Open Championship commenced on Wednesday July 7, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst, West Sussex. The most important ladies tournament in England sees eight teams up to 22 goals (ladies handicap), compete.

As usual, the tournament will showcase some of the most renowned ladies players, such as Lia Salvo, Tamara Fox, Maitena Marré, Milagros Sanchez, Nina Clarkin, Cata Lavinia, Izzy Parsons, HH Sheikha Maitha, Hazel Jackson, Mia y Myla Cambiaso, Milly Hine, among others. UAE, double defending champions, will go for their third consecutive title.

The opening day featured a single match, with Salty Polo victorious over Emita LL by a 7-5 score.

The semifinals of the British Ladies Open are due on Friday July 17, and the final will take place on Sunday July 19.
