The wait is over. The 55th. International Polo Tournament has just begun, with the first of the three contests, the Bronze Cup. Hosted by Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande, in the South of Spain, the contest wil see some of the most remarkable international players competing in one of the most prestigious polo destinations worldwide.
Action kicked off simultanously, in the three levels of play – Low Goal (6-8 goal), Medium Goal (12-14 goal) and High Goal (20-22 goal). The first tournament, the Bronze Cup, sees a total of twenty five teams split within the three levels.
The dates of the finals of the Bronze Cup, are as follows:
- Medium goal
Friday July 31
- Low Goal
Saturday August 1
- High Goal
Saturday August 1
The 55th. International Polo Tournament will resume with the Silver Cup (August 3-15) and the icing of the cake, the coveted Gold Cup (August 17-29), making Sotogrande the epicenter of polo thoroghout a whole month.
