Thai Polo Argentina, considered the most important patron based tournament of the Argentine spring season, has announced its 2018 fixture. This year’s season will bring about interesting changes, setting a new precedent for the competition. Sixteen teams played in 2016 and 2017, but this year the tournament will host two editions, so as to cater to the high number of teams waiting to take part in the Cup.

The first tournament will be the B. Grimm Thai Polo Master, scheduled to be played from November 5-16, for teams between 10-14 goals. As is usual, the competition will be held at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, in Pilar. The second challenge will be the V Thai Polo Cup Argentina, due to be played in the same location at the height of the high season, from December 3-14.

“It is with great pride that we announce two editions of the Thai Polo Cup Argentina for 2018,” says Manuel Cereceda, Polo Manager at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club (HQ located in Pattaya, Thailand, and founded by Harald Link and Nunthinee Tanner). “After four years of hard work and learning from our mistakes, the tournament has become one of the highlights of the Argentine spring season. We have decided to host two editions due to the number of teams wanting to be a part of the tournament, and not just because of the sporting aspect. Attention to detail and high quality organisation are a fundamental part of Thai Polo.”

The B. Grimm Thai Polo Master and the V Thai Polo Cup Argentina will be organised by Minuto 7 and Licere PR, with support from Localiza, La Martina, Universal Assistance, QA, Hotel Alvear, Peugeot Open Hero.
