On Wednesday August 12, the Argentine Association of Polo announced the teams and dates of the upcoming X Argentine Women’s Open. As usual, the qualifying phase will take place at the AAP Headquarters, in Pilar, and the final will be played at Palermo. The most significant ladies tournament in the world will run through Thursday November 26 to Friday December 11.
Six teams between 21 and 38 goals (ladies handicap) will compete; the lineups will feature the most renowned ladies players from Argentina and three other countries – United States, France and England. It’s worth remembering that current title holders, La Dolfina, has won the Argentine Women’s Open more than anyone else – a total of five times (2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2025), followed by UAE, who were victorious on four occasions (2019,2020, 2023, 2024).
There are four 10-goalers among the ladies who will play the tournament – Hope Arellano, Hazel Jackson, Mía Cambiaso and Candelaria Fernández Araujo, as well as the remarkable Lia Salvo, the top scorer in the history of the Argentine Women’s Open (151 goals). Last but not least, three players will make their debut in the prestigious ladies polo contest – Myla Cambiaso, Juana and Isabella Lavina, and Clara Trino Ruano.
