The PLYRS Polo Club, set in Wellington, Florida, United States, launched their first ever official season, hosted with Minuto 7. The club will see several tournaments; the first, the PLYRS Cup is the highest rated (22-goal), which serves as a proper training for the high goal teams dut to compete in upcoming Gauntlet Of Polo, which will take place at the National Polo Center (NPC).

The PLYRS Cup saw six teams up to 22 goals, in participation; all of them will play the first leg of the Gauntlet of Polo, the CV Whitney Cup, which will commence next week. The final of the PLYRS Cup – the first tournament organised by the club – was played on Saturday February 7, with Tamera and Park Place going head-to-head for the title. It’s worth to notice that each organisation featured a 10-goaler within their lineups – Tamera’s Poroto Cambiaso (who subbed in for his father, Adolfo), and Place’s Hilario Ulloa.

Park Place – whose patron, Andrey Borodin, was replaced by Christian Weisz – were the dominating force at the start of the match. With a quick 3-0 lead in the first chukka, it seemed that the whole contest would belong to Park Place. But Tamera started to bounce back, slowly; led by Poroto Cambiaso, Alejandro Poma’s lineup managed to overturn the score. Tamera were one goal ahead at the start of the last chukka, when they provided their best performance – they produced three unanswered goals to claim the first edition of the PLYRS Cup.
