The Coupe d’Or continued as two French teams went head to head. Edouard Carmignac’s Talandracas were able to rise above Jean-Francois Decaux’s Brittany Polo, defeating them by an impressive 11 goals to 5. The tournament, which has been played since 1950, is one of the most prestigious titles on the international calendar.

This year’s edition sees six teams, up to 16 goals, playing for the title.

Talandracas overwhelmed Brittany Polo from the get-go. Jeta Castagnola and Tomás Beresford, a lethal duo in attack, scored a total of ten goals between the two of them. By half time, Talandracas held a commanding 9-2 lead. Talandracas slowed their pace in the fourth chukka, but cameback full force in the last chukka to secure a fantastic victory.

The Coupe d’Or final is set for Sunday, August 29.
