Semper Anticus & AM Polo CT claim wins at Cowdray Park

On Saturday, July 16, the finals of two important womens tournaments were played at Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst West Sussex: the British Ladies Open Championship and the British Ladies High Goal Championship for the Cowdray Rosebowl. The former saw six teams, up to 16 goals, compete. Teams were split into two leagues. The latter  saw five teams, up to 22 goals, compete.

 

Sealing an extraordinary 2022 British season, Semper Anticus claimed the British Open Ladies Championship, after taking a 3-2 win over Coomble Place. They were due to play the championship match of the British Ladies High Goal Championship for the Cowdray Rosebowl as well, but they narrowly lost to AM Polo CT by 8 goals to 7.

In the Subsidiary finals, Team Tonic beat Maíz Dulce by an impressive 8 goals to 2 (British Open Ladies Championship), while UAE took a 8-6 win over King Power (British Ladies High Goal Championship for the Cowdray Rosebowl).
