Savoir beat Los Chinos 9-5, and ran out the champions of the Abierto Aznar, in the final that took place at Ayala Polo Club, Los Pinos grounds, in Sotogrande. The Abierto Aznar is one of the last tournaments in the South of Spain, that expanded the season until early September.

The Copa Aznar marked the end of the high goal season in Sotogrande – that includes the 55th. Torneo Internacional de Polo and the three traditional contests Copa de Bronce, Copa de Plata and Copa de Oro. However, the last two tournaments are yet to be played within the calendar organised by Ayala Polo Club and Minuto 7.

With regards with the final of the Copa Aznar, Nicolás López Fuentes was named MVP, and the BPP rug went to Oriental Tottenham, played by Pelayo Berazadi.
