The much awaited 2022 Argentine polo season is set to kick off Sunday, September 4, with the final of the San Jorge Open at Palermo. The final will be followed by the Jockey Club Open, the tournament that precedes the most coveted polo championship in the world, the Argentine Triple Crown (composed of the Tortugas Open, Hurlingham Open, the Argentine Open). The final of the Argentina Open will be played on Friday, December 2, at Palermo.

As usual, the polo season in Argentina will include tournaments of all levels, for men, women, and kids, including the Remonta and Veterinaria Cup (the top two teams will go on to play the Argentine Open), the Torneo Municipalidad de Pilar, Provincia de Buenos Aires Cup, Cámara de Diputados Cup, and the Ladies Open, to just name a few of the remarkable competitions set to be played this season.

Ellerstina Pilot and Martindale will open fire on Sunday, September 4, in the final of the San Jorge Open, due on Palermo’s number two ground, at 3pm. It is worth noting that Curtis Pilot, who will be joined by the three Pieres brothers (Gonzalito, Facundo and Nicolás) was a runner up in 2019, and that he will also be playing in the upcoming Jockey Club Open.
