La Irenita II and Chapaleufu will go head to head for a chance to play the Argentine Open. The League A match will take place on Sunday, October 31, at the Argentine Association of Polo, in Pilar.

The tournament sees seven teams, between 28 and 30 goals, compete. Teams are split into two leagues. The winner of each league will qualify for the most important polo competition in the world.

Whoever wins Sunday game will qualify for Palermo.

 

QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT – CHAPALEUFU vs. LA IRENITA II (PILAR) – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31, 11,30am.

Chapaleufú: Rufino Bensadón 7, Juan Martín Zavaleta 8, Julián de Lusarreta 7, Felipe Dabas 7. Total: 29.

La Irenita II: Facundo Fernández Llorente 7, Tomás Fernández Llorente 7, Martín Podestá, 7, Juan Agustín Garcia Grossi 7. Total: 28.

 

On the other hand, League B sees Alegria Fish Creek leading the rankings, followed by La Aguada and La Fija. La Esquina and La Aguada are already out of the running.

However, if La Aguada wins, three teams – La Aguada, Alegria Fish Creek and La Fija – will be tied in points. In this case, La Fija must beat Alegria Fish Creek by five or more goals to make the cut. On the contrary, if La Esquina wins, the winner of the match between Alegria Fish Creek and La Fija will claim the second spot and play the Open.
