Action resumed on Wednesday and Thursday in England with The Prince of Wales Trophy, organised by the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. The tournament  marks the beginning of the high goal season in the UK and is streamed live on Pololine TV. Seven 22 goal teams are competing for the title. 

 

Monterosso, 2018 Prince of Wales winners, made a great comeback in the final chukkas of the game to defeat Scone by 10 goals to 8. Jero Del Carril, who made his first ever appearance in the English high goal, scored 5 goals for Monterosso and was named MVP.

 

On Thursday, Adolfo Cambiaso returned to English polo after his 2019 absence representing Next Generation. In the end, Les Lions beat Next Generation by 9 goals to 8. It was a very special match because it marked Poroto Cambiaso’s debut in the English high goal. Furthermore, Poroto faced his cousin Barto Castagnola, who scored 5 goals and was named MVP of the match.

 

The finals are scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th.
