The first ever Polo Rider Cup commenced on Thursday June 10; a brand new and thrilling competition that is hosted by Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly del 10 al 20 de junio, and will see twelve teams up to 12 goals, compete. 

The club, located just 30 minutes from Paris, and only 15 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport, will host one of the most remarkable events of the international polo calendar. The Polo Rider Cup is supported by the Federation International of Polo (FIP).

This tournament represents a brand new concept for the sport. The original idea was to bring clubs from Europe together, but it morphed into an international competition , welcoming clubs from Asia and America, among others. It is now a world championship for polo clubs, showcasing the sport on an international level.

The opening day saw wins by Hong Kong Polo, Chantilly Polo Club and Polo Park Zurich, over Hamburger Polo Club, Polo Club Düsseldorf and Moscow Polo Club, respectively.

Action will resume on Friday with three games.
