Statement by Polo Club Saint Tropez released Friday, April 24th:

Despite the crisis that we are going through due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our objective is still to prepare and put in place the conditions for reopening as soon as the authorities will allow us to do so.

After the announcement last night by the French minister of Sport, a preliminary date of 11th of May has been approved for Sportsmen and women to start training. Once the green light has been given by the French government, we will be ready to participate in complete safety thanks to very strict procedures and measures that have already been put in place, with the help of the necessary logistical and material support as well as being in the unique situation to keep everything in-house.

Among the measures which will be put in place as soon as the Polo club is authorized to reopen, we will need to put in a certain number of restrictions. For instance, the grooms will not be allowed to leave the Polo Club once they are in, as well as players (until the government relaxes it confinement rules).

Machines that the club has already purchased will be used to monitor all people coming to the Club. The safety of all our personnel, staff and clients is paramount in these testing times.

We are closely monitoring all developments and the measures taken by the French authorities day by day. As soon as the conditions and the official instructions allow it, we can assure you that everything has been put in place to offer you a sanctuary to continue you passion.
