The British Ladies Open Championships continued on Friday, July 17, with the semifinals at Cowdray Park Polo Club. Park Place and Monterosso Vikings won their respective games, meaning they will go head to head in the tournament final on Sunday. The match will be extra special as it will be the second time this year that Hazel Jackson and Lia Salvo battle it out in a final. The first clash was in Thailand, where Jackson managed to steal the title.

 

The British Ladies Open Championship sees eight 18-goal teams compete and is the third leg of the Victrix Ludorum Tour, a series composed of seven women’s tournaments hosted at different clubs throughout the United Kingdom. The British Ladies Open sees

 

It is worth highlighting the extraordinary performance of Park Place, both in the mixed lineups as well as in the ladies tournaments. So far, the organisation has won the Prince of Wales Trophy (mixed) and the Black Bears Women’s Tournament (ladies). In addition to the British Ladies Open, two Park Place teams are competing in the British Open  Gold Cup, where they have both qualified for the semifinals.

 

Therefore, Monterosso Vikings have a big challenge ahead. Captain Siri Bazzoni has been replaced by Olivia Merlos, in the hopes that the team will be able to break Park Place’s winning streak and take the title. With Hazel Jackson, one of the most prominent players on the circuit, on the team, the organisation have a fair chance of winning.
