The 50th Anniversary of the Torneo Internacional de Polo by La Reserva Club de Sotogrande continued on Tuesday, July 27, with the opening day of the high goal Volvo Bronze Cup. Two matches were played at Santa María Polo Club.

First up, on ground 2, Marqués de Riscal took a remarkable debut win, defeating Ayala by 14 goals to 6. Next, on ground 3, Adolfo Cambiaso’s took to the field after a five year absence from Sotogrande. Representing BP Polo, his team claimed a 11-7 win against BN Pol0 (Babar Nassem, the team’s captain, is playing the high goal for the first time). 

The 50th Anniversary Torneo Internacional de Polo by La Reserva Club de Sotogrande sees twelve teams, split into two categories, compete (the high goal, 18-20 goal, and the medium goal, 12-14 goal).

The tournament resumes on Wednesday with three medium goal Volvo Bronze Cup matches: Nairobi will take on Cibao La Pampa at Ayala Polo Club; John Smith/Ayala will play Hodro Polo Team at Dos Lunas; and ATL Marine & Energy will face Santa Quiteria at Dos Lunas.
