On Tuesday May 23, La Magdeleine, King Power and Sujan Indian Tigers got off to a great start after claming victories against Park Place Vaara, UAE Polo and Black Bears, respectively, in the first day of competition of The Queen’s Cup, organised by Guards Polo Club, located in Windsor Great Park, England. The club’s premier tournament sees seventeen teams up to 22 goals, in participation.

La Magdeleine remains in the winning path. After winning the Trippetts Challenge, last Sunday at Cowdray Park Polo Club, the French-based team claimed a 14-8 win over Park Place Vaara. Up next, King Power – with Manuel Elizalde and Jerónimo del Carril subbing in for Will Harper and Gonzalo Pieres Jr., respectively – defeated UAE Polo by an impressive 12-7. The day came to an end with a surprising victory for Sujan Indian Tigers, newcomers into the English high goal; following a hard fought contest, they beat Black Bears by a narrow 9-8 in extra chukka, with Jaisal Singh producing the winning goal.
