The Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) announced the teams, venues and date for the upcoming Coronation Cup. The 2023 edition of this remarkable annual competition has been renamed “King’s Coronation Cup”, on the occasion of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. On Saturday July 29, England will compete against a Commonwealth foursome, at Guards Polo Club.

The local team, England, who claimed the Westchester Cup last April, will feature Tommy Beresford, who is also the captain, alongside James Harper, James Beim and Ollie Cudmore. They will go head-to-head against Canada’s Fred Mannix (captain), New Zealand’s John-Paul Clarkin, South Africa’s Chris Mackenzie and Malaysia’s Garvy Beh, with the latter playing this prestigious match for the first time ever.
