Kielder Agro and Clinique La Prairie are through the final of the Hublot Polo Gold Cup, following their respective wins against Hublot and Gstaad Palace, in the semifinals that took place on Saturday August 20 at Polo Club Gstaad, in Switzerland. The tournament, one of the most significant of the international calendar of polo, sees four teams up to 14 goals, in participation, in lineups composed by players from Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil United States and France.

In the first semifinal, Clinique La Prairie had no trouble at all to defeat Hublot (received 0.5 goal on handicap) 9-4.5. Hublot scored first, but Clinique La Prairie, commanded by Raúl Laplacette and Facundo Kelly, a lethal combination that produced seven goals between the two of them, seized the reins in the following chukkas to capture the win that put them in the final.

Up next, Kielder Agro, who had Fabio Bolanteiro subbing in for Bautista Beguerie in the second chukka due to an injury, earned the second ticket to the final after a 7-3.5 victory over Gstaad Palace (received 0.5 goal on handicap). Led by Ezequiel Martínez Ferrario, Kielder Agro was the dominating force thoroghout the four chukkas of play, based on a solid team play, which demonstrated that the unexpected change didn’t affect their performance at all.

The final of the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad is set to be played on Sunday, August 21.
