Julius Baer Gold Cup: Wins for Habtoor & Ghantoot on Day 2

Day two of the Julius Baer Gold Cup saw two matches held at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club. First up, Habtoor Polo faced Zedan Polo. The match was tied 2-all by the end of the first chukka, but Habtoor  came through to take control of the game when Facu Sola scored three goals in the second. The team kept their 2 goal advantage all the way to the end, closing the game 8-6 up. 

The next match was between Ghantoot and Dubai Wolves. Juan Gris Zavaleta scored for Ghantoot before halftime, and capped it off with three more by the fourth. Ghantoot’s last two goals, from Manuel Crespo and Martin Donovan, gave the organisation the 9-5 win.

Score Habtoor Polo: 2-2, 5-3, 6-4, 8-6, 8-6.

 

GHANTOOT 9-5 WOLVES

GHANTOOT: Yousef Bin Desmal 1, César Crespo 4 (1 goal), Juan Gris Zavaleta 8 (6), Martin Donovan 5 (2). Total: 18.

WOLVES: Habtoor Al Habtoor 1 (1 goal), Justo Cuitiño 3, Marcos Araya 7 (1), Manuel Crespo 7 (3). Total: 18.

Score Ghantoot: 2-1, 3-2, 4-3, 7-4, 9-5.
