Action for the IFZA Silver Cup continued on Friday January 29, at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, with a single match, that saw Bangash emerging victorious against IFZA Mahra. The win earned Haider Bangash’s foursome a spot in the semifinals.

 

The tournament will resume on Saturday, with dobule action: UAE Polo vs Zedan & Habtoor Polo vs Dubai Wolves by CAFU. With Habtoor and Bangash already qualified for semifinals, the winner of UAE and Zedan will fight to join them in the next stage; meanwhile, the loser must wait for the result of the following contest. Dubai Wolves by Cafu must defeat Habtoor in order to claim a place in semifinals without depending on a third result. In the event they lose, they will depend on the result of the previous match.

 

The IFZA Silver Cup is the opening event of the Dubai Gold Cup Series, most important set of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, and one of the most competitive in the world. Action is streamed live on POLOLINE TV.

 

The final is scheduled for Friday, February 5.
