The highly anticipated Polo Rider Club is set to kick off Friday, June 10. The first edition of the tournament will be held at Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly from June 10-20, and will see twelve teams, up to 12 goals, compete. The club, located just 30 minutes from Paris, and only 15 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport, will host one of the most remarkable events of the international polo calendar. The Polo Rider Cup is supported by the Federation International of Polo (FIP).

This tournament represents a brand new concept for the sport. The original idea was to bring clubs from Europe together, but it morphed into an international competition , welcoming clubs from Asia and America, among others. It is now a world championship for polo clubs, showcasing the sport on an international level.

Format of play: 

– The twelve teams are split into two leagues of six, and sub-divided into zones of three. These will go head to head in their groups. Thus, teams in Zone A Group 1 will face those in Zone B Group 1. 

– The winner of each zone will qualify for the semifinals.

– The winners of each semifinal will play for the title.
