The Terralpa Silver Cup, the second leg of the prestigious International Polo Tournament, resumed on Tuesday August 5, with two high goal games, that were played at Ayala Polo Club, set in Sotogrande, in the South of Spain. The most significant series of polo tournaments in Spain, will come to an end by late August with the coveted Gold Cup.

Whizmo, who made their high goal debut, claimed a very narrow win over Les Lions Sainte Mesme, the recent champions of the Bronze Cup. The winners’ most remarkable player was Guillermo Caset. A family affair came up next – cousins Barto Castagnola and Poroto Cambiaso clashed in the match between Amanara and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal, respectively. Nicky Sen’s foursome led the all the way, up to the third chukka; but the story would change from the fourth chukka onwards, when the Aznar’s squad bounced back, and won 14-12.

High goal action will be back on Thursday August 7, with the following order of play:

5.40pm: Calatagan vs MB Polo 17:30

7pm: Dos Lunas vs Black Bears 19:00
