Everything is set in the United States to greet The Westchester Cup once again, one of the most renowned international polo competitions worldwide. The match will be held a the National Polo Center, in Wellington. The US lineup will be composed by Matt Coppola (5), Nico Escobar (6), Jeff Hall (7) and Jared Zenni (7), while the English foursome will see James Beim (6), Max Charlton (6), Mark Tomlinson (6) and Tommy Beresford (7), with the latter as the captain.

 

British stars, James Beim and Mark Tomlinson, were members of the team that claimed the Westchester Cup in 2012; in addition, Beim, alongside Tommy Beresford were also in the successful 2018 lineup. The last edition was claimed by the United States, in a hard contest that ended with the United States victorious 9-8 in extra chukka. Back then, United States and England saw Jared Zenni and Tommy Beresford in their respective lineups.

 

The Westchester Cup have been played 19 times thoroghout 137 years, and the United States currently holds the record for the most tournament wins

 

Both teams will be rated at 25 goals, taking each player’s highest handicap globally.
