Following the end of the polo season in England, the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) has announced the women’s handicap changes, and the new outdoor handicaps for mixed tournaments, which will come into effect on January 1, 2023. The HPA informed that anyone not handicapped at this meeting will come in off either their mixed handicap conversion, highest women’s handicap in the world or previous handicap (whichever is higher).

 

Among the most important changes in women’s handicap relate to Candelaria F. Araujo (8 to 9); Milly Hine, (7 to 8); Azucena Uranga, (5 to 6); Lucinda Keen and Olivia Merlos, (4 to 5); Sheikha Maitha, (3 to 4); Sheikha Alya Al Maktoum, (2 to 3). Meanwhile, Hazel Jackson and Nina Clarkin remain as the highest handicapped women players retaining their 10-goal status.
