Emlor took a narrow 5-4 victory over Black Bears to claim the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s Centenary Tournament following a tough final played under heavy rain on Sunday, May 16, at Guards Polo Club.

The tournament is the club’s tribute to Elizabeth Bowes Lyon, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom through her marriage to His Majesty King George VI, to mark a very special milestone: Her 100th birthday. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, born in Glamis Castle, Scotland, in 1900, became known as The Queen Mother, following the untimely death of her husband in 1952. She was the mother of the current monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The subsidiary trophy went to Oakley Court after they defeated Emlor Black by 4 goals to 3.
