The semifinals of the King Power Gold Cup were held on Wednesday at Cowdray Park Polo Club, where two thrilling matches finished in OT.

First, El Remanso opened fire against Queen’s Cup champions La Indiana; Charlie Hanbury’s team put up a good fight and managed to snatch the 14-13 win thanks to a golden goal by Ollie Cudmore.

Next, La Bamba de Areco (2009 Gold Cup winners) took on RH Polo. Polito Pieres replaced the injured Pelon Stirling in Jean Francois Decaux’s lineup. RH lead for almost the entire game. JF Decaux, the star of the match, scored the best goal of the game with a full run across the field. But it was Juan Martin Nero who secured the win for La Bamba with a golden goal in OT.
