Following the rain delay, the semifinals of the East Coast Open were played on Sunday, September 12, at Greenwich Polo Club, set in Connecticut, United States. Excluding the season in Palm Beach, the East Coast Open is the highest rated competition on the East Coast. This year’s edition sees four teams, up to 20 goals, compete.
In the first semifinal, Palm Beach Equine beat Gardenvale 9-8, in extra chukka. Another extra chukka followed in the second game, when Ellipse claimed a 14-13 win over Audi, with a golden goal scored by Matt Coppola.
