HH Sheika Maitha’s organisation defeated Bangash by 7.5 goals to 7 score to win the Dubai Challenge Cup on Saturday, March 19, at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

 

The final allowed UAE Polo to challenge Haider Bangash’s organisation once again, after suffering a loss to them in the opening day of the competition. This is the third consecutive year that UAE Polo win this trophy. It has indeed been a spectacular season for the organisation commanded by Lucas Monteverde.

 

It was a tight match, with Bangash making a comeback in the third chukka. UAE held a narrow 5.5-4 advantage, and following a hard fought chukka, Lukin Monteverde scored a great goal to secure the win and title for UAE Polo.

 

The Subsidiary went to Hesketh Polo, who defeated AM Ankora by 7 goals to 4.5

 

The tournament saw four teams, up to 10 goals, complete.
