Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club’s usual Friday Polo Picnic took on a festive flair, with gazeboes vibrant with Christmas décor, as guests watched the action in the holiday spirit. The annual Christmas Market returned with a variety of vendors selling jewellery, apparel, art décor, toys, games, delicious food, and much more. 

Children were entertained in the dedicated kids area which boasted a huge bouncy castle and free pony rides assisted by Santa’s very own elf. Father Christmas himself rode across the field bearing gifts for all the kids, before the league kicked off with a match between Hesketh/Mahra and Dr A/Ankora.

The first chukker was very even, with both teams scoring  two goals a piece. Dr A/Ankora took the lead with subsequent goals from Dr Abbar and Maxi Malacalza in the second chukka, securing a 4 goal advantage. At halftime, the anticipated Run-N-Hunt saw three lucky winners claim prizes worth a total of AED 10,000.

The winning streak continued for Dr A/Ankora in the second half, and they managed to secure the 10 – 6 victory.

Dr Abdulrahman Abbar was named Most Valuable Player.
