The CV Whitney Cup, the first leg of The Gauntlet of Polo, continued on Sunday, February 21, with two matches at International Polo Club Palm Beach. The tournament sees nine teams, up to 22 goals, compete.

In the first match of the day, Scone defeated Cessna 14-7. After a bumpy first half, Scone took off in the second part of the match thanks to a remarkable performance by Peke Gonzalez, who scored eight goals. Later in the afternoon, Tonkawa – with Lucas Escobar filling in for Cody Ellis – beat Pilot, the 2019 champions of The Gauntlet of Polo, by 14 goals to 12 to claim their first win of the tournament (they previously lost their debut game to Coca Cola). Sapo Caset was the day’s top scorer, converting 11 goals.
