On Saturday September 12, Cortez Polo beat John Smith 16-14.5 and wn the Copa Despedida, following the final that took place at Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande, Spain. It’s worth noticing that both teams clashed again in the decisive match, tht Cortez Polo already claimed in 2025.

The contest was split in two days – it started on Friday September 11, with Cortez Polo victorious 9-7.5, and ended on Saturday with the remaining two chukkas.

Therefore, it’s a wrap for Ayala Polo Club, after another long and very successful 2026 season in Sotogrande. See you in 2027!
