CD Peacock and Las Brisas clashed in the final of the USPA Midwest Open 14 Goal, that took place on Saturday August 23 at Las Brisas Polo Club, located in the outskirts of Chicago, in the United States. This recent established competition, that is earning more importance every year, saw five teams up to 14 goals, partake.
CD Peacock received three goals on handicap, which allowed them to extend their lead to an impressive 6-1 by the end of the first chukka. Although the locals struggled to come closer in the score, the Miller family’s team had seized the reins by widening their advantage chukka after chukka; with only one chukka left, CD Peacock was 12-6 ahead. However, Las Brisas never gave up; they presented battle, but the efforts didn’t pay off. Luck was on CD Peacock’s side, who at the end of the day, they won 13-12 and claimed the USPA Midwest Open 14 Goal for the first time.
